Check with your airline. Each has different requirements.
Madison airport is home to a unit of the Air National Guard. Very common when the weather is good to have many training flights in and out of there.
Its not that long.
Yes, they offer public wheelchair service.
90 minutes is suggested, requirements are 30 minutes for all airlines except Frontier, which is 45.
There is a family lounge, with a comfortable area to relax, along with a "mothers' lounge", and family restrooms. This is located on the first floor of the terminal, right across from the airline ticketing counters.
There is a cell phone lot on the right hand side when you first drive in. You can wait there until your passenger calls to be picked up.

Really not all it's hyped up to be. Famous chef and all and understand their spots in town are GREAT - But charging 15USD for their famous cheese curds, which are basically fried cheese sticks, is outrageous. Salad was Ok - hence 3 stars. Will look at other options next time I'm there.
I celebrated my nomination earlier this evening in this great restaurant. Well we passed a enjoyable evening and the restaurant was no doubt the reason for this successful celebration. The crew contributed in a splendid manner, the meals were extremely good and my friends were very glad. We shall absolutely come back again for more joyful events. thanks very much.
Gal who waited on me was phenomenal. Ordered the Caesar salad, and it was pretty good. The best (only) food option in this airport.
Only full restaurant at the airport, so the pricing premium is in full force. The best value we could find was sharing the kettle chips. They were a lot like loaded nachos, and it was enough food before a 4-hour flight.
Anne is great! Creative menu options - good drinks — all good! Anthony Bourdain are here when he was in Madison :)
Slow service. Food is one star. Heaven forbid you ask someone that works there for something if they aren't waiting on you. I fly weekly.....This is the worst restaurant of all that I have been in at any airport.
Horrible bartender, Gnats everywhere at the bar. We moved tables to keep the bugs out of our drinks and food and the bartender got a attitude with us. We won’t be back anytime soon.
Got served raw chicken here. Got a polite "sorry" and it was taken off my check. Of course this was right before a long flight. Any other place the cook would have been fired on the spot.
I just had a wonderful beet salad dinner at Mad town gastro pub. Everything was very fresh and the dressing was perfect. The lady, Jennifer , who was the server was so engaging, helpful and service was excellent. Give it a try. You’ll like it
Okay staff, he seemed annoyed that I didn’t need to see a menu. I’d checked it out on my phone before coming in. I ordered the grilled cheese with no meat to go. The place is tight on space. The server did warm up to me and we had a nice convo as I was leaving. The atmosphere was okay. Food was nothing special. Friendly guests. Probably wouldn’t try again. No real problem, just didn’t do it for me.
Ordered a soft pretzel to go. The place was quiet, yet took over 20min and I got two very very greasy pretzel buns instead (only realized at the gate)
Best food in the airport by a long shot! 5 stars! Give yourself atleast an hour though if you are going to sit down and enjoy it. Take it to go if you have 45mins or less! Service is friendly but does take a bit longer:) still always going to choose this place over any other!
You're at an airport. Don't look for a cheap price. Not going to happen, so I'm not sure what some of these reviews are really looking for. Overall, great place! I'm here right now with 4 guys I met that are on the same delayed flight as I'm on. We're here enjoying our Prairie Burger, Ribeye and Chicken Club. It was one of the best meals I've had at an airport. Medium well burger. Awesome. Awesome awesome awesome.
Decent food, decent drinks. A little pricy.
I'm not sure what's with all the poor reviews、 one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Quick and friendly staff.
Avocado toast = gucamole spread on Sara Lee bread. Took 20 minutes to make.
Ordered the tonkotsu, it was absurdly spicy and salty. I like spicy food and this was on the very edge of what is consider bearable, my wife's face turned red immediately and she could take another bite. On top of that the service was slow, took 50m to get our order.
Food was decent (if a little pricey), but the bar and trash had fruit flies flying all over the place and landing everywhere. The waitress and bar tender were also talking about another employee and workplace drama right in front of us. Service was not terrible, but just mediocre. If there was even one other real restaurant in the airport I'm sure this place would have to step up their game or go out of business.
Waited 6 minutes just to get a menu. Don't recommend. Out of steak go figure. Airport used to have good places to eat all garbage now.
Really overpriced but it's one of very few options at the Madison airport. Food is fine.
Had one of the rudest bartenders on 8/18 @ 3pm. Waitress was running slow, so asked him if he could cash me out. Quickly told me "No, I can't do that.". I asked if he could find the waitress and help me. He snapped back "which one?" She just emerged from the kitchen, but at the far end of the bar. I pointed her out, then he said "well, go down there then." I mentioned the poor customer service and he said "nothing I can do" which I replied that he could have walked to her and brought her to us. Sad.
My wife and I got 2 of the best burgers we've had in a while. Quick service and friendly staff. Airport prices, but man that burger was perfect.
Waitress was friendly and the food was of fine quality. However, the wait for the food was a bit on the longer side and the prices are simply unfathomable. Of course one expects to pay more in airports, but the prices here are more than I've ever paid in New York, London, or really anywhere else. The price of the drinks was not listed on drink menu, so when the bill came and I saw my bloody mary was $17, I about fell off my chair. Try to arrive at the airport after already have eaten.
Service was absolutely horrible. Extremely rude. They take for granted they are the only game in town at Madison airport. Both servers working 10/6 at 3:00 need to be fired. If there was more I could do to demonstrate my disgust with this establishment I would. After being ignored for 10 minutes and being publicly ridiculed by the female waitress we left. This place deserves to go out of business because they do not care about customers
Zero if possible. Ordered soup- waited 30 mins and never got it. Service was poor at best and clearly not organized. Several people had left before given their food.
Very expensive for what you get, the burger I received was better than McDonald's but not by much. The buns I received was soggy after sitting in the juices of the burger and the patty was lukewarm. Not bad but not good enough for the price.
Half full restaurant at noon on Thanksgiving Friday. Waited 25 minutes for grilled cheese sandwich. I cancelled order to make plane. Still took nearly 10 minutes to pay. Tori Miller should re-think attaching his name to this abomination.
For an airport restaurant the food and drink is very good. I have even visited after an incoming flight. My favorite is the Tomato Ball soup. Tomato soup with a rice ball in the soup and a bit of cheese. Add a warp speed Scottish ale and you have a wonderful combination.
Waitress was attentive and saw to it that allergy concerns were dealt with. Prices were consistent with what you would expect at an airport restaurant (on the high side). Food came quickly and was tasty. Menu offered some interesting flavor profiles that are not usually seen on airport menus.
It was a Sunday morning and place was empty. The service sucked!!! During breakfast, I had to go to ask the bar for a coffee refill. Staff to busy on their cell phones. They are quick to give you a bill for service. I will not eat there again!
Bad service. Mediocre food. Mediocre ambience. Spend your money elsewhere.
Service is awful. Waited over 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge my existence. Finally get a way over priced beverage. Bartenders don't say a word and look miserable. I placed my card to pay my bill. She looked at the check and just walked away. Had to wait another 15 minute s for a different bartender to run my card. Close to the gate but not worth the absolutely awful service.
This place was great! The bartender suggested an awesome beer to me when I told him what I like. The korean chicken sandwich is the best sandwich I’ve had in my entire life!! The price was worth it for the delicious good and wonderful service. My bartender was very attentive and friendly. I wish more restaurant airports were like this
Waited for over 20 minutes for wait staff to take my order.....they cleared the 3 empty tables around me, mentioned that there were customers waiting up front, but apparently I was not worthy of being asked if anyone had taken an my order yet. I was very disappointed and left hangry.
Ate a burger & it tasted good. Price could be lower, but i guess since it is airport they have to pay for rent. Service was fast.
Solid pub food. They have healthy options here and so far I have been happy with the options. The salad was fresh with the dressing on the side. The side of chicken was dry but not too much, a dip of dressing and water helped ease it down. The side of chips is nice and crispy. There must be a thing about home made chips in Wisconsin because I don't usually see this option other places. I liked them with a splash of vinegar. The chocolate cake was very good. I was craving dark chocolate and could have easily eaten twice as much but my belt was already straining from the week.Next time I am waiting for a flight and need a bit of food coma, I will stop in here.
$10+ for a 13oz pour is outrageous, even for an airport. Not even a full pint. Staff was nice.
Good grievances I hope people read this and this “gastropub” goes out of business so no one else has to experience this rip off. The over seeing chief should be ashamed and go back eating good in the neighborhood. We got a signature item that was missing a 1/3 of the ingredients. It was undercooked and tasted sub par for the exhubarant price. We get it, rent is high but this place was is awful.
Server was rude and could have cared less about her customers. When came time to pay, my server had disappeared and another server just dropped off the cc processor for me to complete the transaction. Never saw anybody again. Parts of the transaction that required the server I just pressed “ok”...... sure hope it worked. Should have just gotten up and left.
Server was not great. Fries terrible. I did not know it was possible to make such bad fries. Burger was decent.
$10.50 for a beer ? Are you kidding me.. We will remember to spend our money outside the airport.
Decent food. Bad service. It’s an airport and they move incredibly slowly. When we asked someone else to take our credit card since our server was busy, she said no. Pretty useless.
We had a bit of a delay due to weather and choose to get food before a long day of travel. Found out it was a torey miller restaurant which made us happy. His places have always been enjoyable place to eat. We had a hamburger, with some sort of light ranch dressing. Hot and great. We also had the chicken club with aged chedder, crispy bacon, avacado tomato and lettuce. The chicken was cooked great. Whole sandwich was wonderful. We also both had a side salad. Good but iceberg lettuce. Service lady started out grumpy and coughed on my wife. But she got happier and ended up be very good. Airport prices. $55 for 2 sanwiches and 2 salads.
A good place to sit, relax, and enjoy some fine food in this airport.Good food selections.
Do not get the cheese curds! They are a disgrace to Wisconsin AND they’re $15
Ordered the cheese curds burger and it came out at a reasonable pace. It's over priced for the quality you get. The burger wasn't terrible but they do charge for fries and they were mediocre. This is really the only true restaurant in the airport.
Food is extremely overpriced (even for an airport) and the food was mediocre, at best. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad at $18, which I wouldn’t have a problem with had the quality been even remotely in line with the price. It was the equivalent of a bag salad you would get at a grocery store, with the same level of low grade chicken you would get at a grab-n-go stand. Not to mention they give you a side of Ken’s salad dressing, rather than make the dressing in house. This salad was highlighted on their menu and was one of four items listed at “favorites” which is why I had higher expectations. This wasn’t even good for airport food, if that tells you anything.
Way overpriced, service is terrible, and food is marginal at best. Eat before you come to the airport cause this place is as bad as it gets.
Opened sharp at 4:30am. Diane cheerfully greeted me. Invited me to sit where I wish. Chose a open booth in the back. Menu and water arrived within minutes. Took food order within a few more minutes. Food arrived in about 5 minutes. Ordered the classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns. Opted for no toast. Ordered eggs over medium. We're a bit runny☹️. Diane checked on me often. Diane was a 5 out of 5. Food about a 3.5 out of 5. I would return and recommend.
Think that crying baby in the seat behind you on your flight was bad? This place is worse. Bad food. Bad service. High prices even for an airport. Unless you are very literally dying from hunger you should avoid this place. See for yourself if you have well over an hour before your plane boards.
